I need to get back home. Mainly to get a car. I can provide some money for gas (and turnpike tolls) and company on the long ride home. Preferably someone who is at least going as far south as West Palm Beach (Okeechobee Blvd, Belvedere Rd, Southern Blvd, or Forest Hill). You don't have to drive all the way out to Belle Glade, My sister will pick me up from one of those areas. So yeah Just let me know.

The Kappa Kappa Psi/Tau Beta Sigma National Convention was held at the Arizona Biltmore July 21st - July 26th. Several Gator Band students in Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma attended as well as some alumni (Debbie Kaplan, Debbie Baker and myself).

Several of the students served as delegates for the business sessions of the respective organizations and all of the students participated in a wide variety of musical events and educational sessions including:

The Music Dept. bought a bunch of shiny new trombones for Gator Band! Woohoo!

Does anyone have a large bore trombone mouthpiece (preferably 6 1/2 AL or larger) that I could borrow for the fall semester? I'd greatly appreciate it, since you'd be saving me from shelling out ~$40 on a new one.

Yesterday morning, my middle school bandmates and I lost a fellow musician and close friend. One of the most gifted trumpet players I've ever had the pleasure of performing with, Myles definitely lived up to his namesake. Please keep Myles and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Ms. Pearce from the band office emailed me today saying that Dr. Waybright needs some extra help around the office this week. So, if you have some time between classes or are just bored sitting at home, stop by the SBH during normal business hours (usually before 5ish) and tell Ms. Pearce you're in KKPsi and you would like to help Dr. Waybright and she'll point you in the right direction.
